 CHANGE—AND A NEW PATH

Changes in our world have become ripples, affecting all they touch.
Change has affected our Catalog of Authors’ Books. The Board recently voted to cease its printed publication.

A full explanation is on the Catalog Page, but the short explanation is due to costs, marketing trends, and closed bookstores.

Like so many other organizations, we are now stepping onto a brand-new path.

WWW will have an online showcase of our books. It will be FREE to members, searchable, and visible to anyone on the internet.

Questions?  Visit the Catalog page.

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Would you enjoy putting your computer skills to use? Looking for a way to give back to WWW?  We are looking for volunteers to be part of our TECH TEAM to assist with our next virtual conference in October of 2021!

If you know your way around a computer and the Internet, are familiar with ZOOM, and enjoy helping others who aren’t so tech savvy, then we’d love you to be a part of our conference committee!

We need hosts for our Zoom rooms, trouble shooters who can help with tech problems, and those with teaching skills who can assist attendees. BONUS: If you can use “layman’s” terms vs. technical talk, you are definitely the person for us!

The 2021 Women Writing the West Conference will be held October 8 & 9 as an ALL-VIRTUAL event.

ticket-1-768x248

This year, the Women Writing the West’s conference will be held virtually. Celebrating the bridges of western literature and the territories that inspired it, we’ll explore our personal terrains to master our craft, and the possibilities before us. Just as ranchers find the places necessary to cross wide expanses, we also will find places in craft, identity, and platforms. We’ll tackle approaches on how to progress through tough terrain, and we will rise to our own personal peaks. Along the way, we’ll discover endless horizons of possibilities and create individual visions of success—as endless as the views around us.

Dear Members,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that yesterday evening I received notice of the passing of WWW Graphic Designer Jenny Hancey. If you receive inquiries, please respond accordingly.

Women Writing the West grieves this terrible loss of a dedicated and talented woman. The organization has been in touch with Jenny’s family to know how to announce this with sensitivity and compassion. Our hearts are broken. Please remember Jenny and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
